Project Description:

Since 2019, CPS has provided full Community Development Services to the Town of Parachute, helping manage development applications, prepare staff reports, support Town leadership, and participate in land use and planning policy discussions. Through changes in Town leadership and key positions, CPS has remained a trusted, steady partner—helping the Town navigate growth with confidence.

As development pressures grew, CPS expanded its role to deliver major projects efficiently while respecting the character and culture of Parachute. Highlights include:

• Developing the Parachute Design Guidelines to align land use and transportation.

• Facilitating updates to the Town’s Comprehensive Plan and Trails Master Plan.

• Conducting a code assessment and updating Title 15 Land Use Regulations.

CPS also assisted with updates to the Town’s future land use and open space maps, as well as targeted amendments to Title 15. By providing a full team of planners ready to support long-term objectives, CPS has been an invaluable resource for Town staff, leadership, and the Parachute community.
